In honour of Fashion Week, Diet Pepsi has launched a new skinny can. While Pepsi claims the taller, sassier can celebrates confident women, critics say it reinforces dangerous stereotypes of beauty.


“Our slim, attractive new can is the perfect complement to today’s most stylish looks,” said Jill Beraud, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo.

The company, a Fashion Week sponsor, is hosting a series of events to launch the new can, including collaborations with popular designers like Betsey Johnson.
